Square Silos

A selection of square silos of different sizes for the needs of different farms.

In real life, square silos contain both a grain dryer and a storage space. In the absence of moisture in the grain and the need for drying it, these buildings function like regular silos in the game.

These types of buildings are usually built on a slope to optimize the placement of functions inside the building. They can also be built on a flat ground, but will likely require more space due to terrain height changes. Terrain editing is needed in any case, so I recommend saving the game before placing the building, so you can easily reload the save if you are not satisfied with the terrain changes.

The larger and more modern silos in the pack dry the grain using a bioheater. To simulate the use of fuel and the savings brought by using biofuel compared to fossil fuels, these buildings have a sales point for woodchips and straw.

The volume of the silos can be further increased by silo extensions.
